I believe the socket for the cpu in the cpu B socket has been damaged and the system can now only un on one of its cpu's CPU A
I believe perhaps the entire socket to be exchanged for another socket entirely
The image shows on the bottom right the perceived damaged pin on the socker, there are more images and a video if preferred
(dont know if necessary, i have updated firmware to make it a 5.1 Mac Pro and changed cpu A from intel E5520 to Intel X5675)

Was greeted by a very pleasant and extremely helpful member of staff. He explained what they would do, what I would need to do and if I wanted to go ahead with the repair I could pay in person as he was aware of my computer situation.
On collection I was greeted by Norbert the very pleasant staff member again who handed me the headphones in a protective case. I was absolutely overjoyed. I thought they were beyond being fixed. How wrong could I be. They're definitely as good as new. -

I broke my Bose headphones trying to fit new ear cushions which proved impossible for me to fit. I found Electronic Partners … read more details online and contacted them. They paid for the postage of my headphones to them, assessed the damage and gave me a very reasonable quote to repair them. They fixed the damage and also fitted the ear cushions for me, then returned the headphones in perfect working order. They even offered me a one year warranty for their work which I took out for £10.
All in all a very professional and helpful service and gave me my much loved headphones back with new ear cushions and working perfectly. So much cheaper than buying a new pair. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
