The system of screws that attaches the hinges to the laptop bottom case body is broken. The hinges by themselves are not loose in the normal sense. So while my laptop works fine and there are no issues except that when I close the lid the hinge try to 'pop out' about one third of an inch.
I have actually opened the laptop once when this problem initially occurred and tried fix the issue in my own homegrown way by holding the base down with a set of my own nuts and screws. This worked for several months but then the plastic into which I had screwed the nuts gave way possibly. And I am back to a 'popping' hinge when I close the lid.
There are otherwise no other problems with my laptop. It is working just fine.
Please provide an estimate how much this would cost me to get it fixed.

Was greeted by a very pleasant and extremely helpful member of staff. He explained what they would do, what I would need to do and if I wanted to go ahead with the repair I could pay in person as he was aware of my computer situation.
On collection I was greeted by Norbert the very pleasant staff member again who handed me the headphones in a protective case. I was absolutely overjoyed. I thought they were beyond being fixed. How wrong could I be. They're definitely as good as new. -

I broke my Bose headphones trying to fit new ear cushions which proved impossible for me to fit. I found Electronic Partners … read more details online and contacted them. They paid for the postage of my headphones to them, assessed the damage and gave me a very reasonable quote to repair them. They fixed the damage and also fitted the ear cushions for me, then returned the headphones in perfect working order. They even offered me a one year warranty for their work which I took out for £10.
All in all a very professional and helpful service and gave me my much loved headphones back with new ear cushions and working perfectly. So much cheaper than buying a new pair. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future. -
