    It won't power on after wife cleaned it with an alcohol wipe. When given to me I saw power light "breathing" but it wouldn't power on, or long press power off. I removed the battery to power it off. After that it won't power back on again at all. I tried removing battery and long press (20+ seconds) on power button, then plugging battery and power cable back in (Battery light came on showing fully charged). I repeated above but this time didn't put battery in (battery light flashed 3 times showing power cable detected) but in both cases power button unresponsive and none of the lights on the inside of the laptop lit at any point.
    I next tried removing keyboard to re-seat backup/CMOS battery, however couldn't as one of the screw threads for keyboard screws was stripped. At this point I gave up 🙂

    Was a second hand machine costing around 200 pounds from a good supplier so not sure worth a repair but interested in a rough idea what it might cost.
