    Have owned this SONY SACD player from new. It is still in excellent cosmetic condition but has not been used for 3 or 4 year. I have just replaced the CD-Tray belt (very tricky) which has been successful and the tray opens and closes perfectly now. However now CD’s and SACDs will no longer read – I get the message NO DISC on the display. I put the unit into test mode and have tested all the electronics and they pass – so the issue is the drive/laser. I tried some tests on that in service mode and I got the following error codes: with SACD: 15 11 35 – with CD: C9 00 65. The question is whether it is repairable or whether the whole mechanism / laser will need to be replaced. I would be grateful if you could give me an idea what is possibly wrong with the unit and an estimate for repair. I obviously have to weigh the cost versus replacement.
