I've had problems with games crashes on my PS4, mostly being the general CE-34878-0 error. I've had the PS4 about 2 and half years. This problem occurred sporadically from the start but it was hard to pin down. It seems to be happening more frequently now.
The main games I play are:
It happens very frequently with Fallout 4, in some map areas more than others but between 10 – 40 minutes.
It never crashes while playing blu-rays
Since Friday night, I was able to play RDR2 for 40 minutes before a major shutdown crash, then it crashed every 20 minutes or so. I followed some advice to turn off the PS4's internet connection, which seemed to fix it for an hour. Then next time I played it crashed every 10 – 20 minutes. Also, the fan has come on louder than I've ever heard it before while playing this.I've tried the following:
Ensuring all games and OS are updated
Reinstalling games
Rebuilding games database
Factory resetting
Installing a new hard drive
Keeping a fan blowing on the PS4 (this made more of a difference in the hot weather, when it would do a complete power off crash)
Putting it on its right side (I'm getting desperate here)
Turning off the internet connection when in game

Was greeted by a very pleasant and extremely helpful member of staff. He explained what they would do, what I would need to do and if I wanted to go ahead with the repair I could pay in person as he was aware of my computer situation.
On collection I was greeted by Norbert the very pleasant staff member again who handed me the headphones in a protective case. I was absolutely overjoyed. I thought they were beyond being fixed. How wrong could I be. They're definitely as good as new. -

I broke my Bose headphones trying to fit new ear cushions which proved impossible for me to fit. I found Electronic Partners … read more details online and contacted them. They paid for the postage of my headphones to them, assessed the damage and gave me a very reasonable quote to repair them. They fixed the damage and also fitted the ear cushions for me, then returned the headphones in perfect working order. They even offered me a one year warranty for their work which I took out for £10.
All in all a very professional and helpful service and gave me my much loved headphones back with new ear cushions and working perfectly. So much cheaper than buying a new pair. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future.
