      • Been having a problem with the Camera pressing the start record button plays for less than ten seconds and switches off. Also had a problem with the camera being recognised as a SDCard in windows 10. Now the camera turns on and a red LED displays but no functionality. ie cannot activate the start of a Video in 1040. Neither can I access any of the other functions by pressing the mode button. Cannot switch it off other than pressing the reset button. I did try to reset the firmware by pressing the Mode and the On button, the red light flashed three times and the instruction stated that it would reload the firmware next time it switches on. Switched on and the red LED came on. I then turned it off after about 5 plus minutes and since then when I switch on I just get the red LED staying on with no functionality from the Mode or Record or Switch off button.

The damage to be repaired ie a crazed screen was correctly described so the cost of the part and time element would have been available before quoting.
